Izmantoju "Troickaja prjaža" 100% vilnu "Snezhinka" dubultu pavedienu un adīju ar 4 1/2 mm adāmadatām. Adīju vienu lielu gabalu, kur attiecīgi salokot un sašujot iznāca dubultbieza cepure. Maliņu ap seju apadīju ar vienkārtīgu pavedienu un 2 mm zeķu adatām. Kā rotājumu uztamborēju puķes un sašuvu pērlītes. Cepures pamatīgas - uz katru iztērēju 250g dzijas. Bet pašai prieks par padarīto - biezas un siltas. Nopirktā tādas būtu grūti - piedāvājumā pārsvarā ir akrila vienkārtīgas. Analogas nemaz neesmu redzējusi. Pasūtīt adītājai neredzu jēgu, jo pietiekami vienkārši ir pašai noadīt.
I've finished the first hat some time ago and it is being worn for a couple of weeks. The second one is to be finished at any moment now.
I used 100% woolen yarn 'Snezinka' by 'Troickaja prjaza' - from 2 skeins simultaneously to get the necessary thickness of the yarn, knitted with 4 1/2 mm needles. I knitted one big piece then folded and stitched it to form a hat. The trim around the face I knitted with single thread and used 2mm sock needles. I decided to embellish the hats with crocheted flowers and beads. I am happy about the result - the hats are double layered and very warm - it took 250g of wool per each hat. It would be easy to buy such a hats - the most of what is available at the stores are single layer acrylic hats. I haven't even seen any equivalent to mine. And for me there would not be any sense in paying to someone to knit them for me, since I could easily to do it by myself.
Nākamais uzdevums šī gada nogalei bija sarūpēt bērniem zaķu tērpus svētku pasākumam dārziņā. Tērpi jau paši par sevi nekas pārāk darbietilpīgs nebija - ausis, t-krekli ar burkāna aplikācijām, mākslīgās kažokādas svārciņi ar dzijas bumbuļiem kā ļipām. Man pašai vislielākais prieks bija par zaķu zābaciņiem, kurus pagatavoju no auduma atgriezumiem. Un vēl lielāks prieks par to, kā novērsu tiem slīdēšanas problēmu. Sākumā domāju atrast speciālo pretslīdēšanas materiālu, kas it kā esot nopērkams tūbiņās - uzspied pāris punktiņus un ir ok. Veicot nelielu tirgus izpēti sapratu, ka jā - tādi ir, maksā trīsarpus latus, bet tā gluži vienkārši ieiet veikalā un nopirkt man neizdevās. Nebija laika pasūtīt internetā. Ierunājās merkantīlā saprāta balss - pāris pilieni silikona man izmaksās n-tās reizes dārgāk nekā praktiski bezmaksas zābaciņi, kurus sašuvu no atgriezumiem. Par trīsarpus latiem es labāk nopērku, piemēram, dziju. Vai mandeles. Tā nu paņēmu saimniecības gumijas (paciņa ar 100gab maksā ap 40 santīmiem) un skatoties ziņas uzšuvu pretslīdēšanas punktiņus.
There was one more task for the end of this year. To provide my kids with rabbit costumes for the Christmas party at their daycare. The costumes did not require much job - ears, white t-shirts with a carrot applique, faux fur skirt with woolen pompons as tails. What I am proud about are the rabbit booties I managed to make from the scratch materials. There remained one problem - they were extremely slippery. At first I wanted to buy a silicone anti-slippery gum that could be put on the feet of the booties. But I could not find the at the sewing supplies shops. I found out they may be ordered via internet - but I had no time to wait for them to be delivered. And then I started to think about price - was it reasonable to pay ~7USD for those silicone dots if the booties themselves cost me almost nothing? I'd better by some more knitting wool for that money. Or almonds. So I took cheap rubber bands (less than 1$ for a 100pcs), a needle and a thread and made those anti slippery dots by myself while watching the TV news program.
